Beyond my wildest imagination, here are some of the incredible creatures that can be found under the sea. These sea creatures come in a stunning variety of colors, shapes, sizes and textures. Just what you might find if you were the world’s best photographer, diving deep under every sea on the planet, north to south, east to west, tropical to frigid waters.

  1. THIS IS SO AWESOME I HAD TO GO THROUGH THEM TWICE TO SHOW MY FAMILY ,JUST AWESOME

  2. Another brilliant and awesome display of the wonders by dusky,
    Thank you………

  3. Breath taking! I can hardly believe this underwater splendor! Thank you, Dusky!

  4. Totally delightful, the endless varieties of brilliant colors, breathtaking beauty and surreal shapes of these amazing sea creatures…. Great way to escape for a little while from the disgusting political circus this election year…. Thank you, Dusky, I really needed this!

  5. I am amazed at the glorious displays of sea creatures. Thank you for bringing me these moments of wonder.

  6. The incredible creativity of god is almost unbelievable. Thankyou, simply awesome.

  7. This is artistry at it’s finest. It’s like Mother Nature created them in color, and then God gave them life.
Absolutely magnificent. Thank you for sharing, Dusky.

  8. Your beautiful emails bring a breath of splendor to our computers. Thank you for another wonderful few minutes.

  9. Wow!!! These are incredible and beautiful. 5-fold symmetry is rare.

  10. Beautiful – thanks you! Please don’t try to make me believe that all that just happened from a “big bang!”

  11. Dusky: This world of wonderment leaves me almost speechless. The beauty and imagination of Creator is beyond anything we can conceive, and you bless us each time you share this loveliness. Many Mahalos…Blessings & Love to you and yours…May your new chapter be all you could ever wish for…thank you for your gifts of upliftment and enrichment to all of life.

  12. Impossible to see all of these beautiful creations
and not believe in God above. Thank you!

  13. These are just truly fabulous–surprising, breath-taking, such varied colors and shapes. This a Universe that goes on unknown to us, and one that is so rich and God given/evolved. Thank you!

  14. Magnificent world that exist under sea water with awesome shapes , colors that He only could have created. It is high time nations of the world stop using sea as dumping ground for garbage , including plastic etc and damaging the the under sea world which exists beyond their imagination. Salute to those photographers who took these wonderful photographs and to you for sharing. as common men would never dream of the world under water.

  15. fabulous range of astounding sea creatures but one is growing in a pot on my front verandah and very much terrestrial (Madagascan ) !!! The other is a blue / yellow Siamese Fighting Fish that can only survive in freshwater but can breath air.

  16. The red footed fish with its 5 digit forward fins and the wrist- like turn inward of the forward “feet” is a huge evolutionary jump; fish to amphibians Extraordinary subject and photo. But all the photos were beautiful. Would like to have known where they were taken.

  17. These, as always, are simply breath-taking! Thank you Dusky for finding and sharing these gems! I wanted to play with a lot of these, altho they may not have returned the desire. Lorie

  18. I WOULD LOVE TO PURCHASE A BOOK WITH ALL “SEA CREATURES” FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN. IS THAT POSSIBLE? IF NOT I HOPE THIS WILL BE SOMETHING YOU WILL CONSIDER DOING IN THE FUTURE.
LOVE THIS SITE. WONDERFUL PHOTOS AND IT IS AWESOME!!

  19. Mollie,
I’m glad you are enjoying the sea creatures post. However, I don’t take these pictures, I collect them where I find them on the internet and post them to my site. When I know who took the picture I give attribution, but unfortunately, most of the images I find have no attribution. If you go to any of the sea creatures posts on my site, find something you really like that says who took the pic, and then google that person, you can probably find a way to a book like that. Here’s a link to sea creature posts from my site. http://www.duskyswondersite.com/?s=sea+creatures&submit=Search

  20. One of the best collections of beautiful sea creatures that I’ve seen. Thank you for gathering and posting these, Dusky. Check out Susan Middleton’s photographic masterpieces in her book SPINELESS: THE BACKBONE OF LIFE published by Harry Abrams. Can’t get enough of these images. To think that they are actually living organisms who share the planet with us humans is really mind-bending. Some of my paintings incorporate these gorgeous creatures, like “Important Conversation” on my website http://www.cybermuse.com/blog/2012/9/4/in-praise-of-water.html

  21. Words fail me! Absolute beauty and incredible skill. Thank for bringing me that unknown world.

  22. Sabellastarte spectabilis is a species of benthic marine polychaete worm in the Sabellidae family. It is commonly known as the feather duster worm, feather duster or fan worm.
