Here’s a preview of our ingenuity:  painted floors, artful architecture photos, perspectives captured by drones, waves that time stopped, the wrench man, quirky ingenuity.  Don’t miss a glimpse of what happens when human ingenuity goes missing or the 3-year-old Russian girl scientifically exploring ice for the first time.

This doesn’t look very restful to me.

John Piccoli of Victoria, Australia makes sculptures from monkey wrenches.

human ingen, wre 11Thirty years ago Piccoli began making small garden sculptures from wrenches he had collected. Today he is creating large statues and garden art pieces.  Here’s his raw material.

human ingen, wre, 14His works are even more impressive because Piccoli, now in his 70s, contracted polio when he was eight years old and is in a wheelchair. His large workshop is equipped with a gantry crane and several block and tackles that allow him to work at chair level, yet in three dimensions.

  3. These are so very interesting to see how one can direct their energy and mind to something so constructive, and sometimes, it seems, the mind is not engaged at all.

My first thought is how can the minds of young people be directed to become interested in using this type outlet for their energies.
